Design Your Own Safari
20250115094107

How It Works:

The core of your safari adventure will be three unforgettable days in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve during the Wildebeest Migration in August 2026. Travelling in your own safari Landcuiser with a dedicated, experienced professional safari guide/driver who will accompany you throughout the entire journey.

The Great Wildebeest Migration is the second largest overland migration in the world, with wildlife travelling a total of 800km or more. The magnificence of the event lies in its magnitude. Between 1.4 and 2.5 million wildebeest, as well as Zebra and other species who plod or canter across Tanzania's Serengeti National Park and Kenya's Maasai Mara Game Reserve in search of good grazing. The migration is a spectacle of nature, with herds facing predators like lions, crocodiles and hyenas along the way.

What happens next? That's up to you.

With our 'Design Your Safari' approach, you can customise your journey with optional add-ons and experiences -- whether before or after your time in the Mara. You also get the freedom to mix and match locations, experiences and accommodation styles (budget, mid-range, or luxury) across your itinerary, to create a safari that's as unique as you are.

Step 1. The Core Safari

The core of your safari will be 3 unforgettable days in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve during the Great Wildebeest Migration in August 2026 (actual dates chosen by you). Three days of wildlife wonder, expert guiding and luxurious comfort. Here we would recommend staying at the luxurious Zebra River Camp. or similar.

Step 2. Then, Design Your Adventure:

Choose from a handpicked collection of destinations and experiences to extend your journey – before or after the Mara – to shape your perfect itinerary:

Nature & Wildlife Add-Ons

  • Add extra days in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve
  • Balloon Ride over the Maasai Mara (Highly Recommended) – watch the sunrise over the savannah and witness the herds from the sky – a once in-a-lifetime experience

  • Lake Naivasha Boat Ride + Walk with Giraffes on Crescent Island.

  • Northern Kenya and the remote pristine wilderness of Samburu National Reserve. Situated along the banks of Ewaso Ng'iro River. A unique wildlife conservation haven famous for an abundance of rare species of animals such as the Grevy Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk and the Beisa Oryx. This reserve is also home to a population of close to 900 elephants.

  • Extend your adventure and unwind in the paradise that is Zanzibar, this tropical paradise with its fascinating history, incredible nature, enchanting sunsets and magnificent white beaches! If you are looking for a peaceful yet active escape, Zanzibar is the perfect place to give rein to your holiday wanderlust.
